The Cabinet Body

The cabinet body is assembled at the factory (no brackets and screws). The outside perimeter is 7-ply—plywood, the center body and cross beams are laminated 14-ply. There are support braces over the leg mounts to provide greater strength. All of the joints are glued and have support blocks. Once the body is assembled, but prior to the top plate going on, the cabinet is machined to a flat surface to within five one thousandths of an inch using a computerized router. This ensures that the slate will lie on a truly flat horizontal plane. Each cabinet is wrapped with hand drawknifed Ponderosa pine to carry the log look throughout the table.

The Legs

For the Ponderosa table: the legs are 9” in diameter; the Norway: the table legs are a 6” diameter Norway pine log. Both are hand drawknifed to give each leg its own unique character.

The Unirails

The unirail combines both the top rail and side skirt into one. We use only the best furniture grade Ponderosa pine that is kiln dried down to 8% moisture content. Each pine rail is hand drawknifed to give each rail its own character and signature. No two rails will ever be the same.

Ponderosa Pine

Ponderosa pine has long been used in both log homes and log furniture. The Ponderosa pine is a very majestic tree. It has structural strength and yet beauty and character for the log look.

Warranty

Northwoods Billiards has a limited Lifetime Warranty against any defects in material or workmanship to the original owner of the table. This warranty begins on the day the original owner purchases the product. In the event that a problem arises from the defect during your warranty time, your product will be repaired or replaced (at Viking Industries, Inc. option) without charge, except for any cost incurred for shipping. If your product is repaired or replaced, this warranty will be renewed.
